Reframe old beliefs that keep you feeling powerless or unworthy
Build tools to regulate emotions and find calm when you feel overwhelmed
Strengthen your capacity to stay present, even when things feel vulnerable
Integrate the lessons of your past so you can live with more freedom and clarity
Support your growth through compassion, mindfulness, and self-awareness
What is EMDR?
EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is an evidence-based approach to healing trauma, distress, and limiting beliefs. Rather than focusing only on talking about what happened, EMDR helps the brain process and release the emotional charge connected to painful experiences.
During EMDR sessions, I will guide you to recall an event or emotion while using bilateral stimulation such as eye movements, sounds, or tapping to activate both sides of the brain. This process helps your system reprocess the memory so it no longer feels overwhelming or defining. You remain fully present and in control throughout the process as your mind and body move toward integration and healing.
EMDR therapy with me is collaborative and paced with care. We’ll begin by building a strong foundation of safety and trust, exploring your goals, and preparing your system for deeper processing. Once you feel ready, we’ll work with specific memories or themes using EMDR techniques that are tailored to your needs and readiness.
Sessions are offered virtually for clients across Oregon, including Portland, Bend, Eugene, and surrounding areas. Online EMDR therapy is a convenient and effective way to receive trauma-informed care from the comfort and privacy of your own space.
EMDR Therapy
Trauma and loss can leave lasting imprints in the mind and body. You may find yourself reacting to present situations with the intensity of the past or feeling disconnected from your emotions altogether. EMDR therapy offers a structured yet compassionate way to help your brain and nervous system complete the healing process that was interrupted by those experiences.
In EMDR sessions, we’ll work together to identify the memories, sensations, or beliefs that continue to hold emotional charge. Through guided bilateral stimulation, your brain naturally reprocesses these experiences, allowing the memory to be integrated rather than avoided or relived. This creates space for new insights, calm, and self-trust to emerge.
My approach to EMDR is relational, somatic, and mindful. I move at your pace, always centering safety and collaboration. Together, we’ll work toward helping you feel more grounded in the present and connected to your capacity for healing.
Fees: $150 per 50-minute session (longer sessions are an option for additional fee).
I am currently available for virtual EMDR therapy on Thursdays and Fridays for clients across Oregon.
